Equine Serum

Australian Origin

General Description: Bovogen Biologicals' equine serum is collected in a manner which minimises haemoglobin and endotoxin levels. Serum is available from two sources, the first being collected from slaughterhouses. Alternatively, blood collected from closed, veterinary certified, donor animal herds is also available.

Raw Material Origin: Equine blood from animals is collected from Australian registered export abattoirs under the supervision of Government Veterinary authorities. Alternatively, donor horse blood is collected from Australian Quarantine Inspection Service certified donor animal farms.

The origin of Bovogen's equine serum is fully traceable back to the abattoir  or donor farm and is supported by the availability of full collection and manufacturing records, leaving no doubt as to its source.

Appearance: Clear, orange/brown solution, free of any particulate matter.

Applications: Applications include:

  • additive in growth media for tissue and cell culture
  • research or diagnostic assay reagent

Documentation: A Certificate of Analysis is supplied with all equine serum orders. A Certificate of Origin is also supplied for export orders.

Storage and Handling: Product is shipped and stored at -10 to -400C.
